“Neighbours” recap
On Tuesday, Ned ran after Regan and bumped into Lauren, who got concerned about him. He didn’t specify what his problem is and ran off to chase after his ex. When he failed to do so, he went to Harold’s and confessed to Lauren about his relationship with a married woman. He’s worried that the husband might find out and might do something dangerous. Lauren urged Ned to tell Elly the truth – she has the right to know as his current girlfriend.
Later, Elly approached Lauren to ask whether she knows what’s going on with Ned. However, Lauren refused to divulge any details as she promised Ned. Refusing to give up, Elly went over to Ned’s to demand the truth from him. To encourage him to come clean, she admitted to him about her miscarriage earlier. It worked – Ned confessed everything about Regan. Apparently, Ned’s worried that Regan’s husband – who was jailed before – might come after him if he finds out about the affair.
Steph and Mark sought Toadie’s advice with regard to Max’s decision about Charlie. Toadie said they could ask the court to change the parenting order. Steph said she wanted to fight for custody, and Toadie promised to help her. However, after speaking with Charlie online, Steph realised she can’t put her son through a custody battle again. Unknown to her, Mark was feeling utterly devastated about the situation, wanting to be a father.
Sonya went over to the Robinson’s to find Steph completely messed up. She was feeling quite emotional, being forced to let go of Charlie’s custody to let him have a stable life. She also felt depressed over the fact that she can’t give Mark a kid of his own. Steph feared that it’s only a matter of time before that tears them apart. Later, Sonya approached Susan and asked her opinion about surrogacy.
Meanwhile, Jimmy was devastated to move out of the Cannings’ house. He returned shortly to get his chess set, and was met by Kyle. Jimmy lashed at Kyle for hurting Amy, who then arrived to fetch her son. Sheila overheard the whole conversation. Later, Sheila, Gary and Xanthe confronted Amy for leaving without telling them. Sheila ordered Amy and Jimmy to come home with them. Amy refused at first, but the three were adamant and after much prodding, she agreed to go back to their house.
At the Cannings, Sheila celebrated her birthday with her family, Amy, Jimmy, Susan and Ben. Outside, Amy talked to Kyle to clear the air. Now that things are okay between them, Amy asked whether they could be friends and Kyle accepted her offer. She even gave him a relationship advice to sort things out with Georgia. Later, Kyle said goodbye to his family and neighbours.
