“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Paul confronts Terese, accusing her of trying to sabotage the opening of his new restaurant. A heated argument ensues between the two. “You’re not going to get away with this,” Paul warns. “You are going to regret the day that you decided to play this little game with me.” Digital Spy reports that after Paul brags about his new restaurant to Terese, she concocts a plan to ruin the opening by holding a competing event on the same day – a pigeon race. She also steals his main act, Madison.

Spoilers also suggest that Paige gets spooked after a confrontation with her future opponent, and she tells Aaron she’s backing out. While he’s thankful about Paige’s decision, he realises he still has to pay Angelina’s $12,000 fee, which might bankrupt him. Piper and Dustin also bring up the possibility that Angelina may just be psyching her out before the fight. After mulling it over, Paige informs Aaron that the fight is back on. Meanwhile, Xanthe catches Madison and Ben together and assumes that the two are having a secret relationship.

“Neighbours” recap

On Wednesday, Mark was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed by Ari. Steph was beside herself – she worried about Mark and the incident’s effect on Charlie. Aaron and Tyler soon arrived after Sonya informed that what happened. Shortly after, Karl informed them that Mark’s lungs had been punctured by the knife. It’s causing air to seep out and put pressure on his heart, which could lead to a heart attack. Mark’s brothers comforted Steph, who was having an epic meltdown.

Fortunately, Mark’s surgery went well and Steph visited him in his room. They shared an emotional moment – Steph couldn’t thank him enough for his selfless, loving act. However, Steph still didn’t want to move in with him. Aaron, Tyler and Sonya then appeared to see Mark. Later, Charlie also went to visit and say goodbye temporarily – he’s heading off to be with his dad.

While Aaron and Tyler were worried sick about Mark’s condition, they also had to contend with another problem: Paige’s fight. They consulted Toadie about her contract and their worst fears were confirmed – if they cancel the fight, they had to pay Angelina Jackson’s appearance fee of $12,000 immediately. Later, Aaron told Paige that he’d cancel the fight, but she won’t hear any of it. She wanted to push through with the boxing match, with or without their support. She seemed determined to go ahead with the fight, fueled by Jack’s opinions against the match.

Later, while Paige was seriously training, Angelina dropped by, mentioning about the last sparring partner she had, who ended up in the hospital. Having heard Angelina’s warning, Paige began to have second thoughts about the fight.
