New Charice Pempengco Photo Shows Former Glee Star in Men’s Apparel Again; Elopement Rumours Surface

Is someone preventing former Glee star Charice Pempengco from publicly admitting her real gender preference?

Despite hints from her mother, Raquel Pempengco, that the 21-year-old international singer would publicly out herself, there still is no Charice admission that she is a lesbian.

However, a new photo of her just surfaced on social networking sites on Tuesday showing Charice once more attired in men's clothing - a sando, to be precise - with tattoos on her upper arms and chest area.

Wearing men's clothing could be her way of outing rather than a formal announcement, especially if someone from her local network could be opposed to the revelation. There are, after all, speculations that executives from the network are also against a similar move by a Filipino matinee idol long suspected of being gay, but he is prevented by the company officials because of the impact of such a move on his career and the studio's bottom line.

The new photo of Charice somewhat reconnects the Filipina singer with her fans called Chasters, who have been eagerly waiting for news about their icon. But one follower, Garyll Mae, was disappointed upon seeing the new photo, particularly the tattoos.

"Saw a picture of Charice Pempengco. Mukha siyang yagit. Ang feeling ko ang dumi ng katawan nya because of these tattooes (She looks icky. I feel she her body looks dirty because of those tattoes)," she tweeted.

Another international Filipino singer, Arnel Pineda, asked Filipinos to leave Charice alone and let her be. He asked her fans to respect the changes that Charice is introducing to the public, including her fashion and haircut.

Charice's silence has caused more speculations such as a report from a TV gossip show that the singer had planned to elope with an upcoming singer identified as Alyssa Quijano, a member of the new girl band AKA JAM, but the mother of Alyssa got back her daughter before the alleged plan by the pair to elope.
