One of the contestants that stood out in the Wednesday's episode of the 13th season of American Idol auditions is New England Patriots' cheerleader Stephanie Petronelli. She sang her own rendition of the Grace Potter and the Nocturnal's song "Paris (Ooh La La)." She made the cut and was given the golden ticket to Hollywood.

The 22-year-old stunner came in the Patriots' cheerleading outfit in front of judges Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez, and Keith Urban.

Connick didn't seem awe-struck with her performance. He noticed how Petronelli wasn't using her abdomen to belt. Well, she was wearing her two-piece cheerleading outfit so her belly was clearly obvious. "I'm worried about your voice," said Connick. He said that her singing voice was only coming from the throat and not the diaphragm. "I just wonder how long you could sustain that," he added. "Vocally, I wasn't really feeling it," he said.

Petronelli may have not impressed Connick, but Lopez and Urban were pleased enough with her performance. "It's funny because I disagree," said Lopez. The sexy singer-actress felt that Petronelli had more "soul" that she actually thought of. "The voice to me was surprising, in a good way," she added. "It's a yes for me," said Lopez. Connick said no so Urban was left with the hard task which could make or break Petronelli's big American dream. Of course, two of the judges would have to say yes for a contestant to advance to the next round. "It would have to be a yes," said Urban.

Three of Petronelli's fellow cheerleaders, who were also dressed in their uniforms, instantaneously went inside the audition room to congratulate her.

According to CBS Sports, Petronelli auditioned at Gillette Stadium on Aug 2, 2012, but it didn't get aired until the reality singing competition premiered on Jan 15.

Will the aspiring cheerleader be able to make it in the second round? TMZ reported that a representative of the Patriots told them that the producers of American Idol asked them to remain silent about the cheerleader's destiny on the show.

Petronelli is certainly an eye-candy, but she can sing too. Here's another video of her singing the national anthem for the Patriots vs. New Orleans game in 2012.
