Actress Megan Fox has been reportedly captured making out with her co-star Jake Johnson on the set of “New Girl” Season 5 in Los Angeles.

According to People, Fox was spotted kissing Johnson while sitting on the sidewalk for a scene. Another photo from the set showed the actress walking away from Johnson, looking sad, after they have kissed.

The actress will be making her “New Girl” debut as Reagan, a straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep. and new roommate, on the fifth episode of the sitcom’s new season. However, it is not yet clear whether Fox has a regular role or has a recurring role on the show.

Fox is currently filling in for Zooey Deschanel, who is on a maternity leave after giving birth to her daughter, Elsie, who is four months old now. Deschanel’s character Jess Day is said to be “sequestered on jury duty.”

In a statement in September, “New Girl” executive producer Liz Meriwether revealed that Fox is the “perfect” person to play the role of Reagan. “It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it,” Meriwether was quoted as saying by TV Line.

“I’ve been a fan of [Fox’s] comedic skills since ‘This is 40,’ and I’m so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part -- she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up.” she added.

This show will mark Fox’s return to the small screen. She has previously appeared on television series like “Ocean Ave,” “What I Like About You,” “Two and a Half Men,” “The Help” and “Wedding Band.” She also had a regular gig on ABC’s Kelly Ripa comedy “Hope & Faith.”

“New Girl” is scheduled to kick off Season 5 on Jan. 5, 2016 on FOX.
