The highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James best-selling erotica novel is allegedly in the works.

However, it has taken months of waiting for an official cast to be announced even. Still, the hope of seeing potential protégés on screen has given fans something to root for. One actor who is quite ready to take the part of Christian Grey and do a full frontal for "Fifty Shades" is "New Girl" star, Max Greenfield.

There has not been any official announcement from the studio working on the "Fifty Shades" film. Even author E.L. James admits casting call for the film is a bit too far off in the plans. Yet, even with this announcement, dedicated and obsessed fans are creating web polls over the world to see who among Hollywood's hottest deserve to get the lead roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

A few notable names in the run include "Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder, "True Blood" Alexander Skarsgard, "Crazy Stupid Love" Ryan Gosling, "Magic Mike" Channing Tatum and Matt Bomer. One hunky Hollywood star whose name has recently been thrown in the bunch of potential Christian Grey's' include the hilarious star of "New Girl", Max Greenfield.

The book as everyone knows is a sexually appealing novel filled with graphically wild and too-visual-for-words scenes. Having shown half his perfectly sculpted body form on the show, Max Greenfield has no qualms whatsoever in showing his other parts for the film - in case he does gets the part.

"Yeah, that's not a problem," says Max, adding, "That's not the issue. It's the issue of whether they wanna see that much intensity onscreen, because that's what I plan to bring."

Well, that much said it's enough for Max Greenfield fans to squeal in delight. Still, would Greenfield be enough to fill out the big shoes of 27-year old entrepreneur, Christian Grey? As of late, Ian Somerhalder has been winning a few online polls, with Matt Bomer following close despite his sexual preference in real life.

As for Anastasia Steele, Alexandria Daddario of "Percy Jackson" has been in the lead for weeks followed closely by "Gilmore Girls" star, Alexis Bledel and "Pretty Little Liars" star, Lucy Hale.
