Rockstar released "Grand Theft Auto 5's" new 1.05 update which include ways to prevent players from losing progress in the event of a cloud outage, protect players' cash balances even during network issues and fix a glitch when players lose online vehicles or mods after exiting the game during network problems.

For other technical problems, there is a support Web site players can visit and subscribe to ("GTA Online" launch status) to contact the support team. Players can also send a short message to the Rockstar Support Twitter account. Constructive gameplay feedback is also welcome and can be sent to GTAOnline@rockstargames.com.

On a related note, the "GTA" stimulus packages are mostly live now. Rockstar's free $500,000 "GTA" virtual money for loyal players is ready to be claimed, but it may take around 2 days to credit into the player's account. After weeks of vague promises and delays, the virtual money will finally be available for anyone playing in October. There is no reason given for the wait, but it's either a technical issue or an in-game economy management strategy. Rockstar will release a news update to confirm complete payment.

The stimulus package is a gift of apology for "GTA Online's" technical issues in its first few weeks. The game is now relatively stable, but minor updates and patches are still being released once in a while. Rockstar's next agenda is the Beach Bum update, which adds new beach themes and vehicles, new weapons, new jobs and character customisations. It was originally scheduled for release within the first few weeks of the "GTA Online" launch, which happened on Oct 1. Rockstar decided to postpone the release, as it needed more time to fix networking and saving issues that plagued the online game for a couple of weeks following its live date. Rockstar thanks the players for their patience and understanding while the team works through issues. It promises to bring more into the "GTA Online" world.

Rockstar is also currently working on the debut of the "GTA Online" Content Creator, which gives the players ability to create, publish, rate and play custom-made Deathmatch and Race Jobs. There are "GTA Online" Social Club Event weekends which bring special bonuses and rewards such as limited edition in-game Event Crate Drops and in-game discounts specials, among others.
