"American Idol" alumnus Danny Gokey is engaged. This talented young singer, whose moving story of having lost his wife of three years captured the hearts of many fans, has found the courage to walk down that aisle again. His new fiancée? Leyicet Peralta.

It was on the Web site he made years ago for his late wife that he announced his engagement with Peralta. The 31-year-old singer released a statement that he and his future wife are very thankful for all the blessings they have received from God.

Gokey has been able to help a lot of homeless kids and troubled families to stay together and fight the cruelties of life through the non-profit site he called 'Sophia's Heart.'

The two will exchange wedding vows by January next year and they are encouraging everyone to give donations instead to the site to serve as the best wedding gifts they could ever receive. Gokey's late wife died after surgery for a congenital heart ailment. He was in third place next to Adam Lambert and Kris Allen.

It was in March 2010 when he released his debut album entitled 'My Best Days.'
