It seems Android will be taking the market by storm. Several devices running on the Android OS will hit stores this week and the coming months. Namely, Sony just introduced the Sony Xperia Z LTE, LG will be unleashing the G@ and HTC One will be featuring pure Android or Sense.

Sony's Xperia Z LTE version just debuted on the market through T-Mobile. P24 plan starts at $99 as well as 24 equal payments for only $20. The handset features a 5-inch display offering 1920 x 1080 resolution. Users may be hesitant to try the Xperia Z because of an older chip version but reviews indicate this should not be an issue.

Sony used Qualcomm S4 Pro instead of the usual Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 found in other handsets of the company. The processor clocks at , 1.5 GHz c. Even with 2GB memory and older processor, the Xperia Z can hold its own against other products like LG Optimus G Pro, HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. Technically, Sony Xperia Z should be slower than its peers but reviews show it does not lag or slow - at least it is not apparent.

The only other phone that has Xperia Z's resistance to water and dust is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. However, users will have to get the Active version for those features. The Sony Xperia Z already has it built in. The handset can also withstand being under water for 30 minutes. Users can still shoot videos and capture images up to 1 meter of water.

Sony cut back on the Android software so HTC's Sense interface and Samsung's TouchWiz are still better. LTE is also limited unlike mobile broadband which is more prevalent. Nonetheless, this does not change the fact that LTE offers users a great way to use the internet.

While Sony slowly goes past competitors on the market, LG is teasing consumers with their upcoming offering. According to the announcement, LG will unleash their LG Optimus G2. It will be the company's flagship device running on a Snapdragon 800 chip. The processor boasts of top-of-the-line silicon from Qualcomm including enhanced support for imagery and video as well as faster performance. Reports suggest LG Optimus G2 can shoot 4K videos with 4,000 x 2,000 pixels. HTC plans on releasing a better version of the HTC One soon.
