Police had arrested a 23-year-old New York man for the death of his mother whom he beheaded then chopped her body parts which he threw in a trash heap.

Bashid McLean even posed in front of their bathroom mirror and took a photo using his cellphone of himself grinning while holding the severed head of his mother, Tanya Byrd, 45.

He then placed the chopped body parts inside luggage bags then in three black trash bags which he disposed in four different locations in Morrisania, near the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. A resident walking his dog on early Tuesday morning found the chopped body parts made up of the torso, head, legs, hands and feet.

Bahsid confessed to the crime when he appeared in court on Thursday, wearing nothing except a black plastic garbage bag, indicating mental problems. Reports said the man had six arrest records.

"He's definitely sick. It's a ghoulish act. This guy is so mentally defective to do that. That's pretty outrageous," a police officer told The Post.

Jerry Iannece, the lawyer of Bahsid, explained the appearance of his client to the accused being incontinent which made him urinate frequently on himself.

The crime appears to have happened on Sunday night or Monday morning. The victim had another seven-year-old son, Nasyr, who has Down's syndrome, but it was unclear if he was home when the murder happened. However, the boy appeared to have been physically abused based on bruises on his body.

Besides his confession, another indicator of his crime was Bahsid being caught searching the Internet for tips on covering up a murder. He even later crated a page in social networking site MySpace and titled it Kill the bitch Tanya, who was prodding him before the murder to be independent and move out of their house.

But it appears his problem has its roots during his childhood when he was placed in a foster home, which he resented, explained Cassandra McLean, Tanya's sister. Tanya was then dealing with her own drug problem. He lived with her again when he was 18.

His friend, William Harris, 26, reportedly helped him dispose of her body which Bashid chopped using a 2-foot-long Black and Decker jigsaw he and William bought from a nearby hardware store with cash. The saw was found at William's house.

James McLean, Bahsid's father, confirmed that their son did destructive things such as setting fires. Bashid even posted his picture on Facebook showing him burning a scarf.

Neighbors confirmed he had anger management problems as had difficulty controlling when enraged. They described Bashid as having creepy eyes.

Bahsid initially pointed to William as the one who killed his mother. Like Bashid who was on probation for attacking in 2010 two police officers with a knife, his friend had been arrested 12 times.

Bahsid confessed to the gruesome crime late Tuesday after police discovered the electric power saw and other carving tools.

He was not repentant for the crime, said his sister, Porsche Lovett. "He looked me in the eyes and told me he did nothing wrong when he killed her," she said.

Similar beheading incidents happened recently in Australia and Canada. In Australia, the victim was a man who was beheaded by his troubled son while in Canada, the victim was a student whose head was chopped by another passenger while they were traveling aboard a Greyhound bus.

The crime seems to have come from a horror movie, Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movie, just shown in January 2013, in which the female victim was also decapitated and dismembered by the killer using a chainsaw.
