A new concept design of the Samsung Galaxy S6 features a solar panel and next generation specs. Analysts expect the device to be released by April 2015, but fans may already have a long list of expectations from the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 concept designs posted in Androidjs has a solar panel at the top edge of the phone. The solar charging feature is one of the most popular expectations from not only a Samsung device but also an iPhone.

Apple already has a patent for a solar panel that can also be used as the touch screen for a smartphone. Some analysts are already expecting this technology on the upcoming iPhone 6, but not everyone agrees that the revolutionary technology will be hitting the markets anytime soon.

The other features from the concept Samsung Galaxy S6 include the device being dust proof and water proof. The Samsung Galaxy S5 already has the waterproofing feature to a limited extent. The company is rumoured to be preparing to launch a new variant of the Galaxy S5 called the Galaxy S5 Prime with additional features.

The rumoured specs on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime are 5.2 inch capacitive touch screen, rendering 2560×1440 QHD resolution, 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad core processor, Android KitKat operating system, 3 GB of RAM, 16 MP primary camera and a 2 MP secondary camera.

The concept for the Samsung Galaxy S6 seems to have borrowed some design elements from the Prime variant and goes a step further. The specs of the device includes a 5.2 inch capacitive touch screen, with 2k display resolution, 154 x 73 x 7.9 mm dimensions, weighing 158 grams, 2.9 GHz quad core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 20 MP primary camera, 5 MP secondary camera and 3000 mAh removable battery.

The sleek design has metal front and sides. The back of the device is made of polycarbonate. Instead of placing the speakers at the back, the device has 2 speakers on the front for music lovers. The images also suggest the fingerprint scanner feature on the Galaxy S6.

Analysts expect that the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be in April 2015, though some are expecting the launch much earlier. But since the company launched the Galaxy S4 in April 2013 and the Galaxy S5 in April 2014, an April 2015 release date seems more realistic for the Galaxy S6.
