Newt doesn't want to fight in new 'Fantastic Beasts' teaser
A new TV spot of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” has surfaced online. The video teases how the magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) will be a reluctant hero in the fight between Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and the dark wizard Gellert (Johnny Depp).
The previous released trailers of the film showed how Dumbledore will try to recruit Newt in the fight against Grindelwald. The trailers also teased that Albus and Gellert were in a relationship when they were young, which means that the former doesn’t have the heart to fight. However, a new TV spot of the film posted on YouTube shows how even Newt isn’t too keen on fighting.
“I don’t do sides,” Newt says in the teaser. The magizoologist will have to choose a side eventually though because Grindelwald’s actions threaten a war between the wizarding world and the muggles. The two sides have been at peace for over a century, but there is war on the horizon.
Newt will eventually agree to help Dumbledore, but it remains to be seen to what an extent he will get involved in this fight. The magizoologist will go to Paris to hunt down Grindelwald. Will he also meet Credence (Ezra Miller) and Nagini (Claudia Kim) there?
There is also a safe house in Paris, and Dumbledore will give Newt the access to this place. Will the war begin in France, forcing Newt to seek shelter?
The trailers have teased scenes of war in the next film. It remains to be seen if Gillert has a hand in stirring things that will eventually lead the world on a path towards conflict. There will also be fantastic new beasts that will be introduced in the upcoming film, along with a few familiar creatures from the first movie.
“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is set to be released on Nov. 15 in Australia.
