Ahead of its official release in the third or fourth quarter of 2013, images of the BlackBerry Curve were released over the weekend.

The first image, seen below, initially came out in BlackBerryOS fora. It showed a QWERTY-ready smartphone more angular that the current BB Curve devices. The contributor of the image said the device will be the first in the BlackBerry R-series which is the update to the BB10, reported Computerworld.

Among the rumoured specs of the R-Series device are a 100 mAh battery and 8GB of internal storage which is half of the capacity of the Z10 or QWERTY Q10. However, reports said that its price tag could be a bit higher than $300 without a contract.

Previous leaked images of other BlackBerry gadgets such as that of the Z10 and Q10 proved to be correct, giving credence to the new leaks.
