The upcoming Nexus 5 smart phone will reportedly arrive first at AT&T in August. According to the AndroidandMe report, the US carrier is set to exclusively offer the Nexus 5 to the customers for a 3-month availability period with a price scheme similar to the Google Nexus 4.

AT&T subscribers are thrilled with the good news but those who are not with the carrier will just have to patiently wait for the month of November to arrive which is the reported release date of the Google Nexus 5.

Google Nexus 5 was spotted as a new benchmark at AnTuTu with the smart phone's codename "Google X" that appears to be a collaborative work between Motorola and Google. It is suggested that the device will be the first one to run on the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie operating system.

Other reports indicate that the smart phone will be called "Motorola X" or "Google Nexus X." The upcoming smart phone's announcement is highly anticipated to happen at the Google I/O conference in May at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

The reported features and specs of Nexus 5 include the all-time activated voice control, predictive intelligence that allows the users to launch apps and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor. Incorporating the Snapdragon 600 processor as an alternative will offer the Nexus 5 with a lower competitive price against other rival smart phones in the market.

An ongoing test on the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update reportedly hinders the launch of the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie in the Nexus 5 or Google X smart phone at the Google I/O event. However, Motorola and Google have not given any comment to confirm or deny the circulating reports.
