NFL News: Percy Harvin To Practice This Week; Seattle Seahawks Pete Carroll Excited
Pro Bowl running back Percy Harvin is expected to start practicing for the Seattle Seahawks this week in an attempt to join his team in the postseason, head coach Pete Carroll announced in an interview with ESPN Seattle radio.
"Percy will practice with the intention of playing next game," Carroll said. "It has come to that point. He wants to contribute on this team.
"It's been a very difficult struggle for Percy. It's a personal thing right now.He has worked really hard to get back but has not been able to make it over the hump. He's going to need the offseason to really get back to full strength. We will have an extraordinary football player ready to go next year. We will take a look this week and see where we are and then know more," he added.
Harvin, who was traded to the Seahawks by the Minnesota Vikings last summer, appeared only once for his new team because of a hip injury. Harvin signed a six-year, $67 million deal with the Seahawks, who hoped his inclusion will help them win the Super Bowl.
