The Philadelphia Eagles bucked the loss of starting quarterback Nick Foles who suffered a broken left clavicle in the first quarter and turned to back-up QB Mark Sanchez, who had 202 passing yards (15-of-22 completions) for two touchdowns and two interceptions, to lead the team to a 31-21 road victory over the Houston Texans.

Jeremy Maclin had 158 yards (6 catches) while Philadelphia's running back crew had a good day as LeSean McCoy finished with 117 rushing yards, Darren Sproles 63 total yards and Chris Polk had 50 rushing yards and a touchdown.

For Houston, Ryan Fitzpatrick passed for 203 yards (13-of-27 completions) with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception and DeAndre Hopkins had 115 yards on 6 catches.

Philadelphia's game plan was containing Arian Foster and it worked as the Texans star quarterback only had 56 yards (15 carries) after recording 100-plus each in the previous four games.

Houston faces the Cleveland Browns in their next game and Philadelphia takes on the Carolina Panthers.
