Australian No. 2 tennis star Nick Kyrgios has reportedly gone out on a date with fellow tennis player Ajla Tomljanovic. Kyrgios and Tomlajonic spotted together at the recently-concluded Queensland Tennis Awards held on Nov. 7.

The Courier Mail described Kyrgios as Tomljanovic’s “low profile date” during the awards ceremony. According to the report, the Canberra native had flown to Brisbane to spend time with Tomljanovic, who will have training session at the Queensland Tennis Centre.

Tomljanovic has previously denied any romantic relationship going between her and Kyrgios, but sources close to the situation believe that the pair is already a couple. Kyrgios, who flew from Canberra and arrived in Brisbane on Nov. 5, appeared to have confirmed their romance after his main image on Twitter shows a picture of him and Tomljanovic on the court together.

Kyrgios is just enjoying his time off the tour before he begins his preparations for his campaign at the Australian summer next season. Kyrgios, a quarterfinalist in Japan and semifinalist in Malaysia, last played at the Valencia Open where he suffered a shocking first round exit against 170th-ranked Daniel Brands of Germany 6-4 2-6 7-6(3).

In other news, Kyrgios and Australian No. 1 Bernard Tomic were disregarded in the list of six nominees for the coveted Newcombe Medal, Tennis Australia reports. Kyrgios won the 2014 Newcombe Medal, which is annually awarded to “Australia’s most outstanding player and ambassador” for tennis.

This year’s nominees are Thanasi Kokkinakis, Sam Groth, John Peers, Dylan Alcott, Samantha Stosur, and Casey Dellacqua. It is the fifth time that Stosur, a former grand slam champion, had been nominated for the award. Dellacqua was also delighted to be nominated again. Kokkinakis, who is one of Kyrgios’ close pals on tour, said that he was excited to be nominated for the Newcombe Medal award. The ceremony will take place at Crown Palladium in Melbourne on Nov. 23.
