Nicki Minaj's Ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels Talks Twitter War, Feelings After Break Up
Nicki Minaj and ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels are currently going through a bad breakup, reportedly dissing each other on Twitter over the weekend. Nicki Minaj openly cried during an interview with Angie Martinez last week, but now Safaree Samuels himself is talking about the breakup, saying he got nothing love for the female rapper.
TMZ caught up with Samuels in New York and asked him about his breakup with Nicki Minaj. Instead of shying away from the question, Samuels openly shared how bad the breakup is for him. He also shared that he could see and hear Nicki Minaj everywhere since their breakup. "It's not easy but I got to do what I got to do," Safaree said. "It's different when everywhere you go, everything you watch, every single radio station has that person [Nicki Minaj]."
He also addressed the said Twitter war over the weekend and said that it was blown over the proportions by the media. He said there was no "Twitter war," just somebody out there trying to add poison into the situation. He said he feels "nothing but love" for the "Anaconda" singer. Despite their breakup, Samuels also said he would continue to support Nicki in everything she would do.
On her interview with Power 105.1 Angie Martinez, Minaj said the same phrase as Samuels said today. She said "there is still nothing but love" for Samuels. She shared that she cannot imagine functioning without him in her life.
It was initially reported that the couple broke up after a big fight ending with Minaj reportedly smashing a Mercedes-Benz using a baseball bat. The two reportedly start fighting in the summer, and the rapper ultimately chased him away from her house using a baseball bat. Police even had to be called to Minaj's property, even though no arrests were made in association to the incident. The car is owned by Nicki Minaj, after all.
Nicki Minaj and Samuels have been together for the last 14 years and the breakup is seemingly hard for them both. At one point, Mail Online UK reports Samuels' pals are even said to be worried that he would take his own life because of this split and are encouraging him to go see a psychiatrist.
