Nutrimetics, one of Australia's leading cosmetic company, said their new study Beauty Lab Report showed that celebrities, models and advertising have the biggest influence on shaping Australian women's views of beauty.

Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman was listed among the women that Australian females frequently referred to as beautiful. Singer Kylie Minogue also made it to the list, as well as Cate Blanchett. (See the complete list below).

Of the 1,842 Australian women surveyed, 89.4% ranked successful Australian women as positive influences. Three quarters (74.4%) agreed that celebrities and models had a negative impact upon shaping perceptions of beauty.

These women were frequently referred to as Australia's most beautiful women:

  • Megan Gale

  • Elle Macpherson

  • Nicole Kidman

  • Kylie Minogue

  • Cate Blanchett

  • Deltra Goodrem

Interestingly, in the same study, Australian women admitted that they only change their look every couple of years or less (63.5%), and most women (76%) only using two looks; a 'going out' look and a 'regular look'.
