Nicole Kidman Bid Adieu To Her Father In Emotional Eulogy; Watch Scenes From The Heartbreaking Service

Nicole Kidman's father Dr. Anthony Kidman received a heart wrenching emotional farewell from his loved ones at his funeral.

The Oscar winning actress was joined by her mother and sister, as well as husband Keith Urban, close friend Russell Crowe and his ex-wife Danielle Spencer, Dick Smith and her two daughters, as told by Sydney Morning Herald.

The funeral of the renowned clinical psychologist was organized at St. Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay, suburb of Sydney.

Dr. Anthony Kidman died of a sudden heart attack last week while he was visiting his other daughter who lives with her family in Singapore. The actress and the whole family are still in shock as he was claimed to have been in good shape prior to his demise.

In a touching eulogy, the actress opened her heart out to pay tribute to her father. The Daily News reported that she was quite close to him. The actress recalled how her father had always been by her side in every crisis she faced in her life.

In fact, the late Dr. Kidman even flew across the globe to support his daughter while she struggled with the bitter divorce from Tom Cruise.

"He was the father that was on a plane," recalled the actress in the speech, "hours after I got divorced, to come and take care of me, staying with me for weeks for as long as I needed."

Hello! magazine reported that the tribute included some loving memories of her childhood, which showed how her father used to pick her up from parties at erratic hours and the way he protected her when she once forged his signature at school.

Only three weeks before his unexpected death, Dr. Kidman visited the renowned actress in New York.

Nicole also recalled her father's generosity and kindness and the way she tries to inculcate the same in her and her children. The actress' emotions were well summed in her words. "I'm a girl, a woman that was raised by an extraordinary man, a good man, a compassionate man, a strong man," the actress said tearfully.

The crowd also witnessed a heart touching tribute by Dr. Kidman's wife, Antonia Kidman and his grandchildren.
