Nicole Kidman is definitely one of the best Aussie actresses, but she said that she puts her role as a mother first before being a Hollywood star.

Nicole Kidman appeared in last night's Tropfest Film Festival in The Domain to render her support to her fellow actors. However, she revealed to the press that she is more of a mother now than an actress and the former always comes first.

Kidman said that she prefer to be behind the camera rather than play infront of it. That way, she will have more time with her two daughters, Sunday and Faith.

Tropfest Film Festival is an important occasion for Nicole saying, "It's all about film and young filmmakers and giving people a chance. It's fantastic."

Geoffrey Rush, Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette all walked the "black carpet" before the screening of the 16 finalists. Kidman, Rush, Blanchett and Collette are judging the competition this year, along with actress Asher Keddie, Tropfest founder Polson, 2011 winner Damon Gameau and Australian directors Kieran Darcy-Smith and Alex Proyas among others.

Nicole Kidman is one of the high caliber actresses in Australia, as well in Hollywood, and had gained her status as one of the most bankable actresses who can command $13 million per project.

Nicole Kidman is currently in Sydney as her husband country singer Keith Urban will be a coach for the Australian version of The Voice. Nicole finished taping two films and has four more lined up in the near future.
