Nicole Kidman Confirmed to Play Grace Kelly in New Movie
Australian actress Nicole Kidman is confirmed to play the part of screen siren and princess, Grace Kelly in the new upcoming film "Grace of Monaco."
After a lot of stars have vied for the envy worthy movie character but after deliberations, Nicole Kidman won the part. The "Grace of Monaco" movie will be set between December 1961 to November 1962 where Kelly will be shown both as a mother of two and a wife.
According to Variety, the 44-year-old Aussie actress has advanced in negotiations to the $16 million dollars production planned by Oliver Dahan. Even though the film hasn't started shooting, it is already put in comparison to the 2011 critically acclaimed movie "The King's Speech."
"Nearly every top actress in Hollywood has chased the demanding yet coveted role," Variety added. Although Nicole hasn't signed the deal yet, she will be expected to in the coming weeks.
Nicole Kidman has won an Academy Award for her last film biopic "The Hours" which tackles the life of famous author Virginia Woolf. With her fair complexion, blonde hair and quite similar face features, Nicole evidently has the looks to play as Kelly.
Princess Grace Kelly was a screen siren back in the 1950's. Apart from her famed beauty and acting skills, she was even popularized when she married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco. Kelly had three children, Caroline, Stephanie and Albert.
She died in 1952 after suffering a stroke when she met an accident and crashed her car. Grace was together with her daughter Stephanie who fortunately survived.
