Nicole Kidman is fuming mad at a paparazzo who hit her on a bicycle. The A-list star was walking to her hotel in New York when the photographer crashed into her and knocked her to the ground on Thursday.

As TMZ reported, the 46-year-old actress was leaving the Calvin Klein show for New York Fashion Week and onto her way to the entrance of the Carlyle Hotel when a freelance photographer named Carl Wu ran over her on a bike.

Wu appeared to hit the brakes as he got dangerously close to Kidman, but it was futile. He slammed into her, forcing her to crash to the ground.

“His brakes on his bike complete gave out and he lost control,” a witness told usmagazine.com.

Kidman was furious, and she called the cops immediately. She apparently wanted to press charges against Wu.

“She looked hurt, but there wasn’t any blood,” an observer told the Web site. “She put her shoes back on and ran into the Carlyle.”

Cops who responded said that they would write Wu a ticket for biking on the sidewalk, but would not arrest him for a criminal offence.

Wu is described by TMZ as a notorious photographer who has had run-ins with other celebrities like Lady Gaga.

Kidman, fellow Australian Keith Urban’s wife, is set to star in the upcoming war film “The Railway Man” with Colin Firth. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, and will hit theatres in Australia on December 26.

She is reuniting with Firth in another film titled “Before I Go To Sleep,” which is expected to be released in 2014.
