Nicole Kidman reveals secret to 'intimate' 10-year marriage with Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman recently revealed the secret to her 10-year marriage with Keith Urban. The Hollywood star revealed that to keep their relationship intimate, they talk to each other on the phone instead of texting or emailing.

In an interview with Dujour magazine, Nicole talked about how the advance technology helps in her marriage with Keith and her relationship with her children. The Australian actress revealed that she and her country singer husband “never text each other.” They also don’t email each other. Instead, they talk on the phone to keep their conversations “as intimate and personal as possible.”

“Once in a blue moon, we’ll text. But mainly we say, ‘I want to hear your voice.’ That’s very unusual but we’ve been together for 10 years. We started like that and we haven’t changed it,” she said.

According to New Idea, Keith is a bit old school when it comes to keeping their marriage intimate. Aside from phone conversations, he reportedly still frequently writes Nicole love letters.

However, the 48-year old admitted that she definitely relies on technology to stay in touch with her four children. The couple have two children, daughters Sunday and Faith. Nicole also has two children from her ex-husband Tom Cruise, Isabella, 22, and Connor, 20.

“To stay in touch with them is very important. I’m definitely engaged in it but I don’t let it rule my life,” she told Dujour magazine.

The couple also make time to see each other despite their busy schedules. The actress gushed about how Keith is committed to their marriage.

“I have an incredible husband who is so willing to get on planes and fly places, even if it’s for a night,” she said.

Nicole recalled how Keith willingly jetted off from his tour in the United States to attend to an opening night of one of her plays. Keith reportedly flew 10 hours just to be with Nicole for one night then he flew back to the U.S. after. The actress told Dujour that it’s what she called “love in action,” which she said she would also do the same for Keith.
