A syndicated lifestyle TV food show host, Nigella Lawson always appears bubbly and vibrant as she prepares quick means and fancy home dinners. But she was perceived to be a completely different person at the Mayfair restaurant recently. Lawson, 53, was repeated choked by her husband during a meal at the restaurant, witnesses claimed. Shocking photos were taken and landed on Sunday People.

Twitter quickly blazed with reactions. Billionaire Charles Saatchi of the global advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, 70, appears to have deliberately strangled Lawson in a scandalous scene.

"Nigella Lawson choked by her husband in public and diners take pics instead of stopping him?!" Twitter user @TheVioletTruth tweeted.

"Onlookers saw him choke her 4 times? Who do people watch a woman getting choked and not do anything!?" User @KitchenRebel tweeted.

"'I have no doubt she was scared. It was horrific, really. She was very tearful and was constantly dabbing her eyes. Nigella was very, very upset," a witness told Daily Mail.

Pedestrian reported Lawson has fled their "£12million converted warehouse in central London." But one of the couple's neighbours was cited by Daily Mail, saying, "'They're both characters and if they did this I'm sure they made up straight away as I've seen them together looking happily recently."
