Nike China Features Real Time Knitting Of Newest Billboard, Other Amazing Ads from Around the Globe
Nike China has found an amazing way to advertise their recent Nike Free Flyknit shoe technology. They featured a live knitting session on a giant billboard to give emphasis on the sock-like feel of the latest Nike shoe model.
The said campaign is related to the launch of their shoe product that happened earlier. Nike China worked hand in hand with Wieden+Kennedy and the creative department of the branch of W+K Shanghai. All three groups have been successful in coming up with an ad that turned out to be a huge display that draws the attention of any individual who passes by the Nanjing East Road. This is considered a heavy trafficked area in Shanghai.
Nike sent three workers dressed in green Nike gear with a Nike Free shoe pair for each. The three were the ones assigned to attach the green threads in neon colour on the naked foot picture and gradually brought the entire ad into life. They topped it off by attaching similarly giant Nike Free sole parts.
Other Amazing Ads Worth Remembering
The Frontline ad in a mall in Indonesia has sent everyone laughing when it is seen from the top view. The entire ad of a dog scratching its body is laid out on the mall's ground floor and the people walking around turned out looking like the ticks of the dog. It was featured in the Ads of the World Web site.
There's also the Swiss Skydive school ad which was placed on elevator floors, making you feel as if you are free falling. Trendhunter once featured it one of their most popular posts.
The Economist also had a unique billboard where a giant light bulb lights up each time a person passes by it. It was definitely a good way to enlighten anyone who needs some motivation as they go through their daily walks. This is so true too with the Nike Run transparent ad which gives a very nice illusion. Both ads were featured by More Than Shipping.
