After reports of Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald having finalised their divorce came out, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are now reportedly looking at engagement rings together. The two were reportedly spotted at a Los Angeles shop browsing diamond rings and showing off major PDA while at it.

Hollywood Life reports that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed may be engaged soon. An eyewitness shared more details to the entertainment site, detailing the specifics of the rings being checked out by the couple.

"They looked at some engagement rings, including a 14K. gold diamond slice halo ring and an 18K. gold green halo diamond ring, both designed by Livin, and an 18K. large chocolate diamond ring by White Cloud," the eyewitness told Hollywood Life. "Nikki looked at a watermelon tourmaline gemstone necklace for Ian. They were inseparable while shopping, holding hands, smiling a lot and shared a couple of pecks here and there," the eyewitness added.

This is the not the first time that Ian was caught checking out engagement rings, presumably for Nikki Reed. On Dec 10, the "Vampire Diaries" actor was also spotted inside a famous jewellery store, Neil Lane Jewelers. He was reportedly looking at "expensive, cushion cut engagement rings," most of which cost as high as $100k and more. He did not leave with a ring then, but he left the store looking happy and excited.

While there are still no confirmed news from the couple of their plans to get engaged, their recent PDA-packed escapades and dates showed how happy they are with each other. They attended the Lakers' Game together and were seen engrossed with each other more than the game. They also lent their support at the "Humane Society of the United States' Proposition 2" celebration on Jan 5.

On Jan 3, it was reported by TMZ that Reed and the former American Idol Season 10 contestant Paul McDonald appeared to have amicably separated. According to TMZ, the former couple already divided up their assets with Paul getting their Nashville home while Nikki would get their other three homes and three vehicles. She would also be the one to have the custody over their German Shepherd, Enzo. The pair got married on Oct 2011, but announced their split on March 2014. Reed filed for divorce two months after the announcement.
