Nikki Reed’s Wedding Sans The ‘Twilight’ Cast
Kristen Stewart's wedding in "Twilight's Breaking Dawn Part 1" is one of the most anticipated scenes of the entire series but co-star Nikki Reed's wedding is taking over the press. Us Weekly magazine reported that the "Twilight" vampire actress tied the knot with American Idol cast member, Paul McDonald, on a private Malibu ranch last weekend in an intimate ceremony in front of 130 friends and family members. The couple married in a ceremony in Malibu, California on Sunday. However, there has been no word on any "Twilight Saga" cast member in attendance at the ceremony.
E!News reported that Reed's wedding dress is a pretty big stunner. The strapless, Tacori gown had a 72-inch train, an embellished neckline and 100 carats worth of diamond buttons in the back. "It was so feminine," Reed said. Tacori also designed the couples' wedding bands. Wonder if the actress was inspired by anything from the "Twilight's Breaking Dawn" wedding. However, why was the "Twilight" cast missing from her wedding? Reed has spent over four years working close together with her co-stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene but only Reed's on-screen love interest, Kellan Lutz, has tweeted a congratulations message to Reed.
Rumors started during the "New Moon" promotional tour that Reed and Kristen Stewart had a falling out that involved Stewart's current boyfriend, Robert Pattinson. Fans have speculated that Reed and Pattinson were hooking up during the filming of "Twilight" but it did not last long. Stewart broke up with her boyfriend, Michael Angarano, during "New Moon" filming and afterwards started dating Pattinson which started the falling out between Reed, Stewart and Pattinson.
Stewart and Reed both commented during initial production of "Twilight" and "New Moon" that the actresses are good friends off-set. During the production of "New Moon", sightings of the three cast mates had stopped and that is when rumors started to flare that something went awry between Reed, Pattinson and Stewart. Reed may not be friendly with Stewart and Pattinson anymore but she still counts Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz as good friends. So how come no one in the film cast wished their co-star well? Probably, the stars may have been too busy with their work schedules that they could not attend the wedding ceremony and congratulate the newlyweds.
