UsWeekly reports that Dobrev has been spending most of the holiday break with boyfriend Austin Stowell. Dobrev shared on Instagram last Dec. 30, 2015 an image of her and Stowell’s public display of affection (PDA) while skiing together in Park City, Utah.
Dobrev also shared to her Instagram followers about baking a carrot birthday cake for her boyfriend, who turned 31 on Dec. 24, 2015. The couple, who started dating in July 2015, made their first red carpet appearance in October 2015 during the premiere of Stowell’s film “Bridge of Spies” in New York City.
Dobrev is best known for portraying “The Vampire Diaries” (TVD) character Elena Gilbert for six seasons. Some TVD fans are hoping Dobrev will still make an appearance in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 since she was not killed off when she decided to exit in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 finale.
TVD executive producer Caroline Dries shared to Entertainment Weekly (EW) that the last thing they had to shoot in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 was Dobrev’s last scene as Elena. Dries further admitted that filming Elena’s last scene came together perfectly even though it was a very strange experience.
“Rarely does it happen where the last line of dialogue you say is the last line of the episode,” Dries explained.
