Nina Dobrev is speculated to quit "The Vampire Diaries" because of two reasons. The actress will now be working in the upcoming season of "The Originals" and secondly she does not want to spend more time with her ex Ian on the set, various media reports reveal. The actress is currently making a brief appearance in "The Originals" but there are talks between her and the production team to reportedly increase her role as she is allegedly not very comfortable working with her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder on the set of the new season the the vampire drama.

Nina and Ian dated for a long time during the previous seasons of "The Vampire Diaries" but things have undergone a sea change ever since the new season of the series has kicked off. Ian is reportedly dating "Twlight" star Nikki Reed, who also happens to be good friends with Nina. There are reports in the media that Nikki is often visiting Ian on the sets of "The Vampire Diaries" and Nina reportedly gets uneasy seeing her ex-flame with his new girlfriend, Inquistor.com reveals.

Though Ian and Nina broke up quite some time ago, fans of these two ex-lovers were hopeful that their reunion at the set might get some old sparks flying in their relationship. But things are not moving in this direction as both Nina and Ian have seemed to moved on in their lives, leaving their fans disappointed, reveals Gack Hollywood.

The scriptwriters for "The Vampire Diaries" have reportedly been advised to "revise their work" so that the ex-couple do not get much scenes together, reports the website adding that the request to re-work on her character's screen time with Ian was allegedly made by Nina Dobrev. However, these are just rumours and Nina Dobrev has not released any official statement about her quitting the show.

Nina is also doing a crossover in "The Originals" and the story has been appropriately linked to "The Vampire Diaries" too. "So Nina Dobrev will be visiting The Originals for a nice little storyline in our fifth episode which airs November 3," show's creator, Julie Plec revealed, according to the website.

Nina and Ian shared a wonderful chemistry on "The Vampire Diaries" and the rumours about Nina quitting the series has not gone too well with the show's fans. Some of the fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter and said that "Delena" (romance of Ian and Nina's character Damon and Elena) was the best thing that happened on the Vampire Diaries.
