Nintendo News: Super Mario Smash Bros 4, Legends of Zelda Oracle of Ages, and Pokemon Wii U Game with Toys
Nintendo is coming out with a game featuring the NFC technology, new titles for Zelda for Wii and a game for the 3DS, as well as some tidbit updates on what's going on with the Super Mario Smash Bros 4.
Pokemon Rumble U comes with toys
The toys are there for a reason. In the similar way Skylanders became a hit, the Pokemon figurines, which will feature six characters, including the yellow ball-ish of lightning Pikachu, will be the first to make use of the built-in NFC technology.
According to GameSpot, Pokemon Rumble 3 allows gamers to use the Pokemon figurines on the NFC pad and make them appear in the game.
A Japan release has been marked for April 24, but European release dates are yet to be announced, reports IGN.
New game titles for Zelda
Two Zelda games are in the works for the console, with one being a Gamepad or TV playable game with HD visuals and a remake of the Wind Waker. The other addition is set for an open-game world, according to The Guardian, which can bring up the idea of multiplayer gaming in new and bolder ways.
However, this may not be up for release in the coming months. "We still have new things ot learn about how to leverage the features and functionalities of Wii U in ways that create fun and interesting new ways to play, including new gameplay systems," said Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto to DigitalJournal.
In the meantime, those with 3DS can enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Seasons, which will be up for release in other territories besides Japan, reports GameInformer. No date has been confirmed regarding its release date
Super Smash Bros 4: What we know
Details of the awaited Super Smash Bros 4 seem to be on hiatus ever since its designer Masuhiro Sakurai stayed put after the announcement of the creation, but it seems that there's reason for it.
In a report by Digital Trends, Sakurai revealed that the Super Smash Bros 4 game may be posing the potential Wii U vs. Nintendo 3DS battle. It's a standard consolation, given how online multiplayer advancements may still not be possible in the near future.
The Examiner also brings up the possibility of the NFC technology being part of the multiplayer video game. It seems that Nintendo is actually gearing towards the potential of the NFC technology to enhance the Super Smash Bros 4.
Release dates of the game are still not available, but reports confirmed screenshots of the game to be up at the E3 2013 happening this June.
