No End To Justin Bieber's Legal Troubles: Singer's Toxicology Report Tests Positive for Marijuana and Xanax
Justin Bieber has pleaded not guilty to the recent DUI charges against him but his toxicology report says just the opposite. The Canadian crooner has reportedly tested positive for THC and Alprazolam, both key ingredients in marijuana and Xanax, respectively. However, the troubled star did test negative for cocaine, meth and couple of other drugs.
According to New York Daily News, Bieber had told police that he was given anti-anxiety medication by his mother that day. The singer also admitted to smoking weed in his studio that night. "Yeah, we were smoking all night at the studio," he allegedly confessed to the police. However, his alcohol level was under the legal limit.
Justin Bieber was reportedly arrested for driving under influence, driving with an expired license, resisting arrest and even drag racing in Miami, Florida. According to previous reports by the police, the "Believe" hitmaker was "talkative" and "cocky" at the time of arrest.
In other case, where he surrendered himself to Toronto police, Justin might face 18 months behind the bars after being charged with assault over an incident in December 2013.
"An altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver. A man struck the driver on the back of the head several times. The driver exited the vehicle and called police. The man who struck him left the scene," according to a police statement, Mirror.co.uk reports. Justin will have to appear in the court on March 10 in Canada while the United States' court appearance date for the singer has been set on Valentine's Day.
Bieber has been garnering huge support from Beliebers all around the world and his fans are tweeting support for him every day since his legal troubles started in Miami. Thousands of screaming fans also gathered in Toronto when Bieber turned himself to the police on Thursday.
His manager Scooter Braun has also asked Justin Bieber's well wishers to keep supporting the troubled star. "I ask people to be kind and hope for the best in people. Not assume the worst," Scooter Tweeted.
However, there are critics who have also signed the petition to have Justin Bieber deported from United States back to his homeland Canada. The petition has reached the level of signatures needed for the White House to respond. There is still no news from the Obama administration on it.
