‘No Escape’ Trailer Shows Owen Wilson In His First Action Thriller Since ‘Behind Enemy Lines’
“No Escape” starring Owen Wilson and Pierce Brosnan is set to hit theaters on Sept. 2 in the United States and on Sept. 4 in the United Kingdom. A trailer of the action thriller was published on YouTube on March 5 and has since been viewed more than one million times.
The two-minute clip shows Wilson’s character saving his family in Southeast Asia, where they moved only to be trapped in a violent political revolt. This is Wilson’s first serious action film since the 2001 film “Behind Enemy Lines,” which earned approximately $92 million worldwide.
In “No Escape,” Brosnan plays a British expat who gives Wilson’s character some survival advice. Prior to this action film, the former James Bond actor appeared in the 2014 romance comedy “How To Make Love Like An Englishman” opposite Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba.
Also with Wilson and Brosnan in the cast of “No Escape,” which was directed John Erick Dowdle, are Lake Bell, Sterling Jerins, Spencer Garrett, Claire Geare, Karen Gemma Dodgson, Byron Gibson, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Jim Lau, Mia Sun, Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Zoe Addams, among others.
In the U.S., “No Escape” will go against “Kitchen Sink” starring Vanessa Hudgens, Ed Westwick and Bob Odenkirk and “Jane Got A Gun” starring Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor. Watch the “No Escape” trailer here:
