Rocker Joel Madden has denied reports that he and fiancee Nicole Richie are getting married in June, saying that "they haven't even started" planning their nuptials.

The Good Charlotte star said in February that he had secretly proposed in 2009. Recent reports suggested that he and Richie will be walking down the aisle this autumn in Santa Barbara, California.

Other reports have surfaced since then, saying that the couple will say their "i do's" this month, but Madden insists that they are "absolutely not" tying the knot in the coming weeks.

"We haven't even started planning," he told People Magazine.

According to Madden, they are not in a hurry to get married. He is currently setting his mind on his band's current U.S. tour and their upcoming European tour.

Meanwhile, Richie was recently in Australia for the opening of the refurbished MidCity shopping centre on Pitt Street.
