Amazon's online retail offer on the AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 is currently the lowest price available for the latest Nokia Windows Phone handset since the U.S. carrier offered it a couple of days back. Initially, the AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 price was $299.99 over a two-year contract as well.

Additionally, the Nokia Lumia 1020 will be shipped with an unlocked micro-SIM card slot and a full price tag. The Finnish company is reportedly set to launch the Windows Phone handset at a much lower price to challenge the other rival handsets such as HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.

According to a U.K. retailer, it will cost £425 (US$650) with additional charges for the shipping. Though the pricing scheme has not yet been confirmed, an unidentified source claims that the handset's price will not reach the amount of $699.99 even with certain changes made.

It is currently an increasing trend with smartphone manufacturers focusing on remarkable camera features in order the devices become noticeable and interesting with the device consumers. Nokia competes well with the 41MP camera on the Nokia Lumia 1020 with rival companies like Samsung and Sony.

The South Korean tech giant recently unveiled the 16MP Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom that boasts with a 10x optical zoom. On the other hand, Sony is prepping up for the forthcoming arrival of the Sony Xperia i1 Honami device with the 20MP CyberShot camera.

Nokia expects the Lumia 1020 to attract more app developers but the Microsoft Windows Phone handset appears to be still lagging behind the Apple iOS and Google Android based on the tally of popular apps. According to Nokia VP Bryan Biniak, the Finnish company's sales are decreasing due to some apps not yet available on the Windows Phone devices.

However, Nokia maintains that the developers are continuously creating quality apps that the Nokia Lumia 1020 can benefit from. For instance, the Nokia Pro Cam app has been incorporated with numerous editing features for the users which make the Nokia smartphone's camera app more powerful compared to the ones found on the Android phones and iPhones.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 4.5-inch ClearBlack AMOLED PureMotion HD+ display with 1280x768p resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity, 2000mAh non-removable battery, 4G LTE radio, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, Windows Phone 8 OS and comes pre-loaded with the Nokia Lumia Amber update.

The selling point of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is the 41MP PureView camera that includes Carl Zeiss optics, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), Xenon flash and the capability to record full HD 1080p video. The smartphone has a 1.2MP front-facing camera as well for capturing images, recording videos and features video chat.
