Nokia Lumia 521 owners can now experience the impressive feature of making voice calls through Wi-Fi connection. T-Mobile announces the availability of the firmware update on the Windows Phone 8 handset.

The device users can manually check on the Nokia Lumia 521 smart phone if the latest firmware update is available. Here's how to check the availability of the firmware 1030.6409.1316.0016 update:

  1. Have a Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Swipe left from the Nokia Lumia 521 Home screen.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Tap Phone Update.
  5. Check for available updates.
  6. If available, continue following the screen prompts.
  7. Wait as the Nokia Lumia 521 completes the update and reboots.
