Nokia recently gave a preview of the newest products in their Nokia smartphone line which includes Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 610. The entrance of these two new handsets in the Nokia Lumia prompts customers to ask this very important question: Which is the better Nokia Lumia Phone?

Before answering this question, it would be best to take a look at the features and specifications of both Nokia Lumia phones.

Nokia Lumia 900

The Nokia Lumia 900 is the high-end version of the Lumia phones. It has dimensions of 127.88 (height), 68.5mm (width), 11.5mm (thickness), and weighs around 160g. It also has a 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen display with Gorilla Glass and AMOLED display technology. The Nokia Lumia 900 has Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon with 1.4Ghz Scorpion, 16GB storage and 512 MB of RAM. Its main camera has an 8MP with 3264 x 2448 pixel resolution. Nokia Lumia 610

The Nokia Lumia 610 is considered as the "entry-level" smartphone of the Nokia Lumia line. It has dimensions of 127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5 mm and weighs around 132g. It has a 3.7-inch capacitive touchs screen with TFT and Glass Display technologu. The Nokia Lumia 610 has Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon with 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A5. Its main camera has a 5MP with 2592 x 1944 pixel resolution. The OS for Nokia Lumia 610 is Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. Battery life is estimated around 9.5 hours talk time and 720 hours standby. The Nokia Lumia 610 comes in four different colors: black, white, light blue, and purple.

The Nokia Lumia 610 would be available in the Australian market through Boost Mobile and interested customers could purchase it for a selling price of AU$329.

The Verdict

The Nokia Lumia 900 is indeed the high-end version of the Lumia line since it has the highest feature in terms of graphics and processing speed. As for the Nokia Lumia 610, its graphics are not that on par if compared with the NOkia Lumia 900. It is also the same in terms of processing but it does not mean that Nokia Lumia 610 is not a good smartphone. Both the Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 610 are good and capable Windows phone so the only problem in deciding is budget.

The Nokia 610 is considerably priced lower as compared to Nokia Lumia 900. Of course, with a lower price there are necessary compromises like a lower display resolution and a little slower processing speed. Investing in Nokia Lumia 900 would be a good choice in terms of looking for high-end smartphones. If the budget is limited, then the Nokia Lumia 610 is a good alternative.
