Nokia has begun rolling out the Lumia Black update for its Lumia Phones in Australia. The Windows Phone 8 update is currently available for Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020 devices with more devices to follow.

The Nokia Lumia Black update is available on the Lumia 925 Optus and Vodafone. It is also available on the Lumia 1020 Optus and Telstra. According to the company, the other devices will also be getting the update, which are currently "waiting for approval."

The other Nokia devices which will soon be getting the Lumia Black update are Lumia 520 country variant, Telstra and Vodafone, Lumia 620 country variant, Lumia 625 country variant, Optus, Telstra and Vodafone variants.

Lumia 720 country variant and Vodafone; Lumia 820 country variant, Optus and Vodafone; and Lumia 920 country variant and the Telstra variant - all these devices currently can get the Lumia Amber update.

The new features on the Nokia Lumia Black update include the App folder, which allows users to further customize and organize the Start screen. The App folder helps users to group apps with similar settings into one folder and a tile on the Start screen.

The Nokia Glance screen 2.0 allows users to track updates from apps like Twitter, Facebook and Whatsapp. The notifications can be seen on the screen and all real-time updates can be tracked by the user.

Bluetooth LE will be enabled for all Lumia phones running the Windows Phone 8 operating system for compatible gadgets like Adidas MiCoach accessories. The new Nokia Refocus app will be made available on all Lumia phones having 1 GB or more of RAM.

The Nokia Beamer allows users to beam documents, presentations and photos to any HTML 5 enabled device. The user can do this by scanning the QR code on the screen. The feature will be available on phones having 1 GB of RAM or greater.

The Nokia Storyteller, which first made its debut on the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 2520, will now be available on the other Lumia phones. The app arranges the photos by date and place and provides extra context to the photos by enabling the integration of interactive Maps.

The Nokia Camera app combines the Nokia Pro Camera and Smart Camera features. The app has been available for the Lumia PureView smartphones and will now be available on the rest of the Windows Phone 8 Lumia range.

The Nokia Lumia Black update also brings the latest generation of imaging algorithm, safe driving mode from Microsoft and customized ringtones. Users can also close apps in the multitasking view.
