Nonito Donaire Jr. and Vic Darchinyan promoted their upcoming fight to the media on Wednesday. Filipino boxer Donaire, who also calls himself "The Filipino Flash," is set to face the Armenian boxer on Saturday, Nov 9 in the featherweight bout.

Nonito is a three-division boxing champion. He has fought for 33 times and won 31 of them, 20 of which by knockout. Nonito has 2 losses and 0 draws. Darchinyan, on the other hand, has a boxing record of 39 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw out of 45 fights. Darchinyan has won 28 of all his bouts by knockout.

The highly-anticipated fight is important for the more important for Donaire rather than for Darchinyan.

Nonito lost to Guillermo Rigondeaux on April 13. The Super World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) super bantamweight titles, in addition to The Ring junior featherweight title. He was outboxed by Rigondeaux and was able to just about steer away from all the punches being thrown by him.

"Having lost to Rigondeaux was a mistake and that was my motivation," said Nonito. "I have to get better and make up for that mistake," he added. "I am trying to correct my mistake one step at a time, and I am getting better all the time," he said.

Nonito has stated that he is very much willing to fight Rigondeaux for the second time around. He expressed that he wouldn't mind going up to 126 pounds. "A rematch with Rigondeaux is a fight that needs to happen," said Donaire. "I am hopeful that I will be able to perform to the best of my ability," he added.

Before Nonito starts thinking about his next bout, shouldn't he worry about his upcoming bout with Vic Darchinyan first? If he wants to make up for the mistake he did in his last fight, he should prove by overthrowing the Armenian boxer, don't you think? We will soon find out if Nonito Donaire Jr. will be able to bounce back after his loss.
