Not all films get remade. But the 1984 movie A Nightmare on Elm Street seems to be deserving of one.

The recently released 2010 version of the movie is getting good reception from the public.

After five sequels, the disfigured psycho who lurks in dreams is back to kill teenagers in their sleep.
Jackie Earle Haley plays paedophile pscyho killer Freddy Krueger.
The new movie is done with digital special effects, but director Samuel Bayer kept the key ingredients: the surrealistic murders, disbelieving authority figures, and the little girls in white with skipping rope rhymes signaling the horror that is to come.
The 2010 version of A Nightmare in Elm Street focuses on the chaste bond of Freddy's target, high school students Nancy, played by Rooney Mara, and Quentin, portrayed by Kyle Gallner. Nancy and Quentin were originally played by Heather Langenkamp and Johnny Depp.
