The legal representatives who defended Ariel Castro, the Cleveland guy, who kidnapped three women for ten years are hoping that various researchers take the time to study their client's profile which fits that of a complete sociopath.

According to the interview with the Cleveland Jewish News, Mr Castro's lawyers mentioned that as the entire world labels their client as a 'monster,' they find it helpful for studies to be conducted on the kidnapper's profile. This is to recognize whether Mr Castro's issues were genetic or maybe even related to a mental health condition.

Mr Castro admitted his crime of kidnapping and raping the women repeatedly, until they managed to escape in May. It was just this month he was sentenced to life plus 1000 years in prison. It can be recalled that during the time of his sentencing, he wanted to emphasize his being mentally sick and his porn addiction plus the sexual abuse he suffered as a kid.

However, one of Mr Castro's lawyers, Craig Weintraub said that there are others out there who are also suffering from the same addiction and sexual abuse history but are definitely not kidnapping random women on the streets. As with Mr Weintraub's statement, the lawyer said that the only thing his client failed to do is to asked help to help him cope with his mental health problems.

During the hearing of the case, the prosecutors sought for a death penalty after the allegation that Mr Castro forced one of his victims to miscarry after becoming pregnant for numerous times. However, Mr Weintraub said that there was no sufficient forensic evidence that emerged.

The lawyers said that the death penalty crossed out from the table actually saved the female victims from reliving their hurtful past and even saved millions from taxpayers, which could have been meant for appeals.

Mr Castro is a 53-year-old school bus driver in Cleveland who pleaded during the controversial case hearing that he certainly had love for the daughter he had with one of his female captives.
