The Oklahoma City Thunder are on a high after turning away a hard-fighting Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. The Kevin Durant-led squad takes on another West powerhouse team when the face the San Antonio Spurs in Texas in the second game of a back-to-back.

The Thunder contained the Blazers, the No. 1 team in the league in scoring (109.6 points per game), in a 105-97 home victory led by Durant who dropped 46 points on 6-of-7 shooting from behind the arc.

KD’s dominance on the offensive end is not new. The league’s leading scorer (30.6 PPG) has now scored 30-plus points in his last eight games, including a career-high 54-point output over Golden State on Friday.

The Spurs’ scoring defense (96.6 opponents PPG) is 5th in the league and is expected to put pressure on Durant. San Antonio has won seven of its last eight games and coming off an easy 110-82 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

The Spurs' offense, as usual, was scattered in the win over the Bucks as seven players finished in double-figure scoring, led by Patty Mills (20 points), who came off the bench. Tim Duncan had 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Marco Belinelli had 14 points and 3 assists.

The Thunders (32-10) are just one game back off the Spurs (32-9) in the Western Conference standings.
