Oktoberfest 2011 to Draw Tourists to Other Top Destinations

Millions of tourists will flock to various destinations all over the world this coming September and early October to celebrate the most popular beer drinking festival, the Oktoberfest.
Now marking its 201st anniversary, the original Munich Oktoberfest has inspired organizers to hold similar Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world.
At around the same time this year, the countries of Australia, Argentina, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Hongkong, Chile, India, Ireland, Vietnam, Romania and the United States will be holding their own version of this grand beer drinking festival.
Outside of Germany, the largest Oktoberfest is in Canada which attracts more than a million visitors each year. The Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is one big extravagancy of German food and culture, culminating at Thanksgiving Day.This will be from October 7 to 16.
The Oktoberfest in Brazil is also a top crowd drawer with more than 700,000 visitors joining the celebrations. This year it will be held from October 6 to 23.
In and the United States the biggest Oktoberfest celebrations will be at Denver, Colorado and Cincinnati, Ohio. It will be a grand event for beer drinkers starting September 17 up to early October.
Stockholm's Beer and Whisky Festival is also known as Stockholm Oktoberfest. Visitors are given the chance to sign up for lessons in beer and whisky.
The Oktoberfest Brisbane will be for two weekends in October and as in the past years, there will be a showcase of German and Australian culture. Traditional German food and drinks will be offered, together with highly charged entertainment from bands and dancers.
Oktoberfest Dublin is Ireland's version of the world-renowned Oktoberfest celebration, while in Vietnam, the beer drinking event will be held at Ho Chi Minh City.
