With the hype that is the 2012 London Olympics, everybody want to know what's what with their favorite athlete, especially Aly Raisman.

And since most of these athletes are in their adolescent years, it is safe to say that these teens, even with constant training and 24-hour fitness tests, are still young souls that watch TV or listen to a track or two with their iPods. This counts for US Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman as well, who looks up to Selena Gomez as her role model.

The 18-year old gymnast said that she loves Taylor Swift as well as hot Hollywood it couple Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber because of their "down-to-earth nature."

"They seem like down-to-earth people. I also like Selena Gomez a lot, because I think she's really a good role model and she's a good example for everyone." reports Ocean Up as reported by Us Weekly about the budding Olympian.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber first confirmed their relationship to the public after attending the Vanity Fair Oscar party back in 2011. Despite their differently scheduled tours and rarely having time for each other, they still remain the teen power couple that they are named for. Taylor Swift remains a close friend, and is known for really showing her love for her fans.

Aly Raisman has already made her mark in the current 2012 London Olympics, winning the first US gold medal for the women's gymnastics team. She started at the young age of two, where she and her mother would enroll in "Mommy and Me" classes, where she always had a lot of energy to go around. She has competed in women's gymnastics worldwide. The last gold medal before her win was back in 1996, thus making history.

Like her idols, she remains down to earth, and has other plans panned out beyond gymnastics: she wants to pursue a career in fashion designing, where she will create her own workout clothes line.

Whatever happens to Aly Raisman in the world of gymnastics or outside it, people can be sure that this young girl has a very bright future ahead.
