Greg Louganis has tied the knot with paralegal boyfriend Johnny Chaillot. Louganis is an American Olympic diver, and he is the second diver and the only male in the history of Olympics to have won the diving events in Olympic Games consecutively.

Louganis is openly gay. In 1988, he was tested positive for HIV. He spoke about his sexual orientation freely and in public for the first time during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1995.

Louganis met Chaillot through the online dating site Match.com. They clicked instantly and became inseparable ever since. They officially got engaged in June 2013. They exchanged I dos on Oct 12 in Malibu, California, as reported by US Magazine.

"Last night was magical," Louganis wrote on his official Facebook account. "Johnny Chaillot walked down the aisle by his sisters, and me by my coach Ron O'Brien and Maggie Stern, my Jewish mother who was always there thru so much," Louganis said. "Much love shared, but mostly a new chapter with my now husband, Johnny Chaillot-Louganis," he added.

"We are both already in our mid-fifties and we do not need another blender so we really wanted to give back," Chaillot said. The newlyweds requested that the 160 guests who witnessed and attended the ceremony to make charitable donations instead of giving them gifts. They have chosen Mending Kids International and Human Rights Campaign as their charities.

Same-sex marriage is lawfully accepted in more than a few jurisdictions in the U.S. It is definitely a massive success, not only for Louganis and Chaillot, but for everyone in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.

Congratulations to the newlyweds. We hope that Louganis and Chaillot's marriage lasts a lifetime and that they will be able to surpass all the challenges and trials they will face along the way.
