Once Upon a Time, ABC's interwoven real life fantasy series, failed to join the Top 10 highest rated television shows in Australia Tuesday night. It took the 11th spot with 974,000 viewers.

'Once' was only on its fourth episode, but ratings have significantly dropped since the series made a debut at the top of the ratings game a month ago.

Have the Aussies gone bored of the overarching stories and subplots in Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest? It is quite too soon for that. While there are certainly many characters to meet and rediscover in the series, a few of them will stand out and will even become unlikely favorites.

Minor spoilers are up ahead, but stop reading if you want to be completely surprised by how the fairytale characters are treated in Once.

Here are the Top 5 Reasons for you to hang on until magic comes back to Storybrooke before you decide whether to give up watching the show.

5. Pinocchio. Wherever there is Pinocchio, troubles cannot be far away. However, troubles are never his intentions. He just wants to enjoy life to the fullest. You can understand his fascination for living. He was a wood, after all. You know what his favorite country in the world? Nepal. "Best people," he says.

4. Belle. Beast's Beauty is likely to become a bigger character in Season 2. The first season paves the way for a bigger story for her. After all, she is the beloved woman of a very important man in the series.

3. Snow White and Family. On Tuesday night, you saw Emma (Jennifer Morrison) made a deal with Mr Gold (Robert Carlyle). In the upcoming episodes, he will ask her to honor this deal and you would like to see how this affects Emma's relationship with her parents, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas).

2. Rumpelstiltskin. Robert Carlyle should get an Emmy for his portrayal of this diabolically manipulative character. But it will take a couple more episodes before you get to learn more about Rumpel. Wait 'til you hear Prince Charming ask him what he knows of love. He will say it's a "flicker of light" and he will mean every word. It's quite a powerful scene.

1. The return of magic. "Magic is power," says Rumpelstiltskin in the first season finale of Once Upon a Time. This finale will answer so many questions and open a lot of doors to the second season. Hang on until then to really get to know the characters before giving up. Who is more powerful - the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) or Rumpelstiltskin? That is hard to say now, but one thing is certain: Rumpel has got some of the best lines in the show.

Once upon a Time shows a brilliant interweaving of the Grimm's tales and the modern life. It airs on Seven every Tuesday.
