OUAT 3x09 Answers Big Question: How Did Regina Adopt Henry?

In Once Upon A Time Season 1, Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) asks Snow White the name she'd give her baby. In the same season, it is revealed Mr Gold, the Storybrooke identity of Rumple, arranged Henry's adoption papers for Regina (Lana Parrilla). It is easy to connect the dots and believe Rumple somehow traced Emma and her newborn.

In OUAT Season 2, Rumple realizes Henry is his grandchild (and future undoing). Many viewers are convinced Rumple didn't know Emma and Baelfire aka Neal (Michael Raymond-James) would fall in love and bear a child. That's fate, Rumple says. But how did Henry wind up from Emma's womb to the evil queen's (surprisingly) loving maternal care? OUAT 3x09 has the answer.

OUAT 3x09 Spoilers: Stop Peter Pan, Save Henry!

Peter Pan is Henry's great grandfather. He manages to trick Henry into giving him his heart by convincing the kid that it's the only way to save magic. Now Regina, Emma Swan and Snow White have to work together to save Henry and stop Pan from gaining full power. But Pan always seems to be one step ahead of them. (Watch the sneak preview below.)

Emma Swan vs Peter Pan: The Lost Girl Gets Help from the Lost Boys

"I promise, we are going home. All of us," an emotional Emma Swan tells the Lost Boys, who may probably go "home" to Storybrooke with Ariel, Wendy Darling, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook!

Baelfire is noticeably absent in the OUAT 3x09 sneak peek video above. Michael Raymond-James has some spoilers about his character and dad Rumple. Once Bae learns Pan is his gramps, it will be "an opportunity for Neal to see his father as someone who carried a burden for hundreds of years." Peace and forgiveness, at last?

Once Upon A Time Season 3, Episode 9 airs on Sunday, Dec. 1 on ABC. This is the first of three remaining Neverland stories. It is followed by "The New Neverland" (Dec. 8) and "Going Home" (Dec. 15). OUAT then takes a long break before it returns in March 2014.
