‘Once Upon A Time' Season 4: A New Prince, Episode 5 New Character Hints 'The Princess and the Frog' Appearance
Fans reportedly have high hopes that Season 4 of "Once Upon A Time" may finally include some known characters from "The Princess and the Frog" after a recent casting for a prince role was announced.
According to TV Line, "Once Upon a Time" is looking for an actor who can play the role of a "pompous prince who beneath his veneer of confidence-slash-arrogance is not much more than a coward ill-equipped to handle conflict." This reported prince would be cast in episode seven in Season 4 of the ABC fairy-tale series.
Inquisitr claims the casting could finally mean an involvement of the characters from "The Princess and the Frog," which were previously replaced by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis with those from Disney's "Frozen." However, there's also the possibility that the new prince could pertain to one of Prince Han's brothers from "Frozen." But Prince Naveen reportedly fits the description well since he clearly acted like a "selfish jerk" when he was first introduced in "The Princess and the Frog."
Additionally, the casting news is not the only indication that "Once Upon a Time" has given a nod to "The Princess and the Frog." The site claims in episode 5, a recurring character named Lily will be introduced. She is described as someone who is "charming" and has a "take-no-prisoners punk exterior." She reportedly also has the "heart of a secretive, insecure opportunist."
Although, Inquisitr admits the idea seems a little farfetched, Lily reportedly resembles the lily pads commonly associated with frogs. However, she could also be the character version of Tiger Lily in "Peter Pan." Additionally, Lily could be introduced in episode 5 of "Once Upon a Time" as Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana's daughter.
In related news, Season 4 of "Once Upon a Time" will see Regina and Henry set off to a new mission. It would reportedly be a needed distraction for Regina so she can take her mind off from Marian's reunion with Robin Hood. Likewise, it would allow Henry to stop his mother from doing anything drastic.
"Maybe some of his light side will rub off on her," Kitsis said of their mission together.
Season 4 of "Once Upon a Time" premieres on Sept. 28 at 8:00 p.m. on the ABC channel.
