After almost three months of hiatus, ABC’s OUAT is delivering a new chapter. Spoiler reports are saying plenty of changes are coming to Storybrooke.
In “Once Upon A Time” Season 4A, Emma learns to control her magic with the help of Queen Elsa (Georgina Haig) of the “Frozen” movie arc. Then she agrees to help Regina and Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) find the Author of the storybook. They all get on board "Operation Mongoose" for a happy ending for Regina and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).
“Certain characters have a very specific power like Elsa. And then we’ve seen magic as an art that is wielded by people like the Evil Queen, Cora, and Rumplestiltskin, I think Emma is much more that way,” OUAT show boss Eddy Kitsis described Emma’s power in this d23.com report.
Mr Gold/Rumplestiltskin and the three new villains also want a happy ending in “Once Upon A Time” Season 4. Known as the “Queens of Dakrness” the three new big bad antagonists are: Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Cruella De Vil (Victoria Smurfit), and Ursula (Merrin Dungey).
“We have a twist on the Cruella character. She’s not quite what you know from the movie, but at the same time we have plenty of nods to the movie and famous things about her,” OUAT show boss Adam Horowitz said in the same OUAT 4 report.
“Darkness on the Edge of Town” is the title of this week’s new OUAT 4x13 episode. An ABC release says Gold’s new alliance, the search for the Author and a continuing storyline that involves Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) will be the focus of the mid-season return.
