'Once Upon A Time' Season 5 spoilers: Ruby meets new ally in flashback scene

A scene from the next episode of “Once Upon A Time” Season 5 has been released by ABC online. The scene shows Ruby and Mulan searching for the former’s pack, when the suddenly encounter a new ally.

The scene begins with Ruby (Meghan Ory) racing ahead to catch the scent of her pack and Mulan (Jamie Chung) in her battle armour following close behind. The flashback scene takes place in Oz.

The two appear to be tracking the pack for quite some time and Ruby loses the scent again. Mulan tries to comfort Ruby, but she is getting frustrated. Ruby is concerned that perhaps her pack was not in the area to begin with and the two consider heading back. Suddenly the two hear a growl from the woods and prepare to battle.

A small dog emerges from the woods and Ruby believes that she recognises the dog. When she attempts to touch the dog, Dorothy (Teri Reeves) reveals herself with her arrow aimed at Ruby.

Dorothy also appeared in a flashback scene in the previous episode of “Once Upon A Time” Season 5. She was intent on taking on Zelena (Rebecca Mader). She now appears to be allying with Mulan and Ruby to fight the Wicked Witch together.

Dorothy, however, initially believes that either Ruby or Mulan is a witch. Before they start fighting, Dorothy’s dog runs away and Ruby offers her assistance in helping with finding the dog. The three characters then see a tornado and realising that it is the Wicked Witch; they run.

Zelena has been shown as having a soft spot in “Once Upon A Time” Season 5. She is in love with Hades (Greg Germann), who is still waiting for her to come to him. Will the heroes manage to give the Wicked Witch the happy ending she has always yearned?
